Happy Holidays!

Hello! Such a busy month with all the holiday happenings. Christmas parties, shopping, we have two birthday parties this month! Be sure and take this opportunity to enjoy the ones you love. Remember the reason for the season. Happy holidays to all and have a Merry, merry Christmas!

Holidays

Well, we are officially in the holiday season. Holidays are such a mixed blessing. Happy and excited to spend time with loved ones. Watching the grandkids anticipate Santa's arrival is so much fun. They are just precious! Then you have the empty feeling of not seeing loved ones at this time of year. It seems I have so many -- Don's Mom and Dad, my Mom and now this year, my Dad. It feels really weird, knowing I have no parents left. I never understood why my Mom was not crazy about the holidays, now I know. Wish I didn't. Feeling blue I guess.

Thanksgiving

I am truely thankful for my many good friends! God has blessed me with such wonderful people in my life. Thank you for being you!

Scraprazzi Retreat

Here's some new pictures from our October retreat. We had a blast! We had three new friends come. Hope they enjoyed themselves as much as we enjoyed having them! Scrapping has opened up so many opportunities for me to make new friends and I am so thankful. You can never have to many friends, there's always room for more.

Gearing Up

Gearing up for the holidays! They will be here before you know it. At our Stamparazzi Club (stamp club) we will be doing gift exchange --- Dirty Santa style! Everyone is to bring a $5 gift, wrapped and placed in a brown paper sack. The gift should be some type of scrapbooking item. Should be a lot of fun.

The girls are coming over for stamp club. The years almost over. We'll have to see about next year. The retreats are really doing great. Lots of response and making $$$ to boot! Our next retreat is planned for February 19 - 21. We really love going to The Josie House. It's such a quaint house and very comfortable. Jennifer are also planning on going to The Scrappin' Pad in January. Taking some time for ourselves! Much needed time. Hope you have a good weekend. Keep scrappin'!

Sad

Sorry it's been so long since I left a post. Had a terrible 2 weeks. Daddy got sick and was in the hospital for a week then he passed away. Not a fun time for anyone. In the middle of all this, Jennifer and I had a retreat to put on! It was crazy.

Gettin' Ready

Boy oh boy, Jennifer and I have been so busy getting everything ready for the retreat! Lots of fun stuff planned. I always worry things won't go well but they always do. Worry wart! lol I'm such a planner, I'm ok with changing at the last minute but I can't stand not to plan. I guess my 'plan' is actually my back up! Hope everyone enjoys the weekend.

30 year reunion

We celebrated our 30 year class reunion this past weekend. Saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in years! (And some I could do with out! lol) But, that's what a reunion is all about I guess. I love all the planning it takes but when it comes right down to it, I'm not that crazy about going. It's funny, talking to other commitee members, it seems that seems to be the way it goes. Anyway, we had a good time. It really was an event not to be missed. Very tireing weekend.

Results

Well, our Stamp Pink event is done! Thank goodness. We had a lot of fun and a good turn out. We had a total of 16 participants. Not bad for a first event. Everyone seemed to enjoy all the freebies. I know I enjoyed putting everything together.

Vacation Blast!

We're back from vacation! Thank goodness. I can only take so much of a good time. lol We had lots of fun and I bought lots of goodies for scrap booking. Got Don's birthday over, which was alot of fun also and now we are getting ready for Scrap Pink on Saturday. Big day planned and it looks like we will have about 25 show up. Good crowd. Wish me luck!

Just the way it goes!

Of coarse, just the way it always goes. Last day to work before vacation, come home after a 16 hour day, sleep, get up and I'm sick! Got a stinkin' old cold. Feel like crap. Want to do nothing but go to bed but when I get in bed, I can't sleep. Go figure. Anyway things to do before Don's party anyway. Jessica and I spent the evening at Party America getting stuff for the party. I hope he enjoys it. Birthdays are touchy subjects with Don somethimes. Hope his mood improves! Like fine wine, hope it gets better with age! lol Luz ya honey!!

One week to go

Today is a lazy, rainy Sunday! Yuck, got to go to work tonight. Oh well, only 3 days and I'm on vacation! Don keeps changing his mind on going to Branson. Maybe we'll go, maybe not. At least I won't be at work! lol

Don's Birthday

Oh boy! I have so much going on this month. Got the invitations sent out for Don's birthday party. He knows we are having him a 50th party but he has no idea how many are invited. So far, I have sent out about 27 invitations, the total count of guest is about 60. I'm sure not all will be able to attend but should have 30 or so I would think. We are getting the cake at Patty Cakes in Mannford. Really cute cakes there.
His party is on the 19th and we leave on the 20 for Branson. We had a really nice time there last year. We are coming home on Wednesday and Saturday is Scrap Pink! Busy!!!! The topper is Sunday night --- Dexter comes back on! Yea!!!!!

I almost forgot. September 19 is also my 28th year anniversary! Holy moley! Can't believe I've been married that long. My kids are getting so grown up. LOVE my kiddos (all 4 of them) and grand-kiddos!

Labor Day Plans??

No plans here for Labor Day. Just hanging out with Don, takin' it easy! My idea of a labor day!! Getting ready for our Scrap Pink event on the 26th. Sounds like it is going to be a good turn out. I think I have about 15 ladies who are going to attend and that does not include many from the church. Beth, Kathy, and Tanya but that's it on my list. We did sell all of the t-shirts and I was very glad.

Slow Poke

Sorry I'm slow at posting! My computer caught a cold (I perfer to say that instead of a virus!) and has been at the computer hospital. Will probably be in there for about a week. So I have to wait until I get to work to use the computer. We have spent out so much money this month. I'll be glad when September is here!

Our October retreat is completely full! I can't believe the retreats are going so well. This is our thrid retreat this year and we have booked the b&b full. I'm so thankful. It is so much fun to do these retreats. I really love offering such a good retreat at such a reasonable price. No one can beat our retreats!

We had so much fun at the convention. Oh my gosh! Spend, spend, spend! lol There ended up being 12 of us at the crop. Great turn out. Ly-ly, Jennifer and I left about midnight. I was done in for! lol

Gettin thru the week

Well, my week is half over!!!! YEAH! So glad. I am really not wanting to be at work this week. That's not normal for me. I like my job and the people I work with. Think it is vacation time. Especially after the week we had. The gas company turned off our gas......we had a HUGE gas leak. As in $942.00 worth to the plumber and another $250.00 to ONG! Geeze! It is just exhausting when you have trouble like that. I want my own hot water! lol

Jayme and Jacob came over this weekend. They are so much fun, work, but fun! I love spending time with them. Hope they remember these times (well, when they get older anyway). Joy, joy, joy.

CKC Convention

CKC convention is coming up, August 22. We are going to have so much fun! A few of us are going to the convention then over to a space we have rented to crop our hearts out! Should be lots of fun.

Scrap Pink

I've been so busy planning and making projects for the Scrap Pink event. We have about 15 signed up so far and it has not ran in the Leader yet. Looks like it will be a good turn out.

I really enjoy all the planning that goes into events like this. I love getting together with friends and spending the day cropping. I love seeing the tools I buy being used by everyone! Half the fun of buying is seeing them put to use. Hope all my friends enjoy them as much as I do.

Fun Day

I had such a fun cropping day last Saturday! Ly-ly and I met Jessica at Scrap Happy's for their annual "garage sale". Lots of good deals -- you can never have too much stuff! Aterwards went stopped in at Tuesday Morning. They have lots of good scrapping supplies. You never know what they will have. Then Jessica and Ly-ly spent the rest of the day at the house scrapbooking. It was such a good day. I really love those girls! Happy scrapping to you today! Create.

Just in my craft room messing around a bit and thought I would post. I am helping a friend tomorrow night with a book about her Dad. Should be fun. I think I am going to start making a few projects and putting them on Ebay. Don't know if they will sell or not. You never know, could be my start! lol

New Pictures

I finally got new pictures added to my blog about the May retreat at The Josie House. We are planning another retreat for October 23-25 also at The Josie House. We have 2 people who have put down deposits and 5-6 more that are tenative. We are having so much fun! You really get alot for your money!

Scraparazzi & Scrappink

Yea, we are all set for our Scrappink event. They have us registered on their website too! For those of you who do not know, we are hosting a breast cancer event in September. Stamparazzi & Scrappink will be an all day event held at Broadway Baptist Church, 1000 N Adams Rd, Sand Springs, OK, on Saturday September 26. Times are 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. We are getting together a variety of door prizes and are planning at least one project, maybe more. Should be alot of fun. The more the merrier! Should be a great event.

Happy Fourth of July

Any big plans for the 4th? We are having the kids over and cooking out. Simple but fun.

Need inspiration

I've hit a wall. I want to create a really neat project for the next stamp club and I am having a hard time! I hate that. I made a really easy project last month and I want something different. Not a card, not a gift, just cute.

I still need to post new pictures. We have a lot of events coming up. August 22 is the CKC convention and I am planning a FREE crop day. I am looking at a church but have not confirmed it yet. September 26 is our ScrapPink Crop day. The crop is only $10 and all proceeds go to the Susan G Komen breast cancer foundation. Then October 23, 24 & 25 is a Scraparazzi Retreat at the Josie House in Coweta. That cost is $120 and includes all meals, projects and all kinds of freebies. What a bargin!

June Stamparazzi

Hi! Getting ready for our June stamp club meeting. This months' project is so cute. Decorated it with a Fourth of July theme/color. Nice little gift to give someone or make as favors for your big bash on the Fourth. I'll post a good picture soon. I still need to post pictures of our last retreat. By the way, we are looking at the next retreat being held October 23, 24 & 25. Lots of fun!! We also have a few "free" days of cropping in August and September. Back at work

Well, it's back at work time for me. Yuck. I think I have decided I am ready to retire! My hubby's not ready for me to retire but I sure am. Retire, operate a retreat house, create all day. Sounds good to me, how 'bout you? lol Talk about a dream job!

Great vacation!

Had to go back to work today, yuck. We stayed at a cabin on Lake Carl Blackwell this past weekend. It was really nice. Small lake but a very modern cabin. We are starting to plan our next retreat. Hopefully we'll know a date soon.

Retreat

We had such a good time. Already thinking of the next one! Such lovely ladies, great ideas and lots of laughs. I will post pictures soon. We had really good projects, food and give-a-ways. Lots of bang for your buck! Hope everyone who went had as much fun as I did.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yesterday was my birthday! Great day. Got to spend it with the grandkids, Don and our kids. The only bad thing was, I am sick. I gotta get better.......now! Our retreat is, OMG!, this week end! I can't believe it. Jennifer has been sick too. Both of us with head colds, chest crap! We both better put a rush on getting better!

Busy, busy.........

Hello! Been so busy this week. Kinda been a bummer week. Looks like our schedule might change and sometimes, change is not a good thing. We'll see. Our retreat is maxed out! We have seven ladies going and at least 2 massages scheduled. So, hopefully we'll break even on this one! I don't care, we have fun and get to go for free! Sorry I haven't added any new pics lately. I've been so busy working, watching grandkiddos and planning, I haven't really had time to create. I need it bad, I can tell! Better run, DH is waiting on me.

What's up?

Good morning!

This is my long week, so I haven't been online as much. Jennifer and I are putting the finishing touches on our retreat. I really enjoy planning the retreats. Planning and seeing everyone enjoy the retreat is as much fun as going! Lots of good food, laughter and croping. It's going to be a blast.

Think I'll go get my granddaughter either Thursday or Friday. She is so much fun! Jakey is too. He's pretty much stuck to his mommy right now and a real home body. But not Jayme. She's my girl!

Stamparazzi Club

We had our stamp club last night and had a full house! It was lots of fun. We made a 2 page layout. I'll post as soon as I remember how!

Things are in full swing for our retreat, May 29 - 31. Getting so exicted! Jennifer and I worked on one of the projects after Stamparazzi last night. It's really, really cute.

Spending

I truly think scrapbooking is an addiction! I can't seem to help myself. So far this week, (remember, it's only Tuesday!), I have bought paper, ribbon, lace, a cropping t-shirt, cardstock, a caddy for emblishments, epoxy buttons, ink daubers, clear stamps, a case for my scraperatus, clear buttons and different fibers! OMG, that is terrible!! lol My DH must really love me!

National Scrapbook Day crop

OMG! (oh my gosh) We had so much fun! There were 17 of us and we had a blast. Lots of good stuff was created. Everyone walked away with a door prize and one lucky duck won the grand prize..................a weekend retreat at The Scrappin' Pad! Guess who that was ????????? Me!!!!! I was soooo surprised when Katie drew my name. I couldn't believe it! Thanks Katie, btw, she is my new bestest friend! lol

Already looking forward to another crop day. Now I have to get in gear for our stamp club. I think I'm going to name the stamp club, Stamparazzi Club. Jessica came up with that idea and it sounds cute. Our project is really cute this month. Hope everyone likes it.

Well, here I go, setting up this blog. Thinking I have really done something. When I clicked on my profile, I realized I already had a blog! Set it up last October. And no, I'm NOT getting old! lol

This is going to be a busy month. Getting ready for an all day crop in Sapulpa for National Scrapbook Day on Saturday. The next week is Stamparazzi Club (stamp club) and Mother's Day. In two weeks it's my birthday and the following week is our Stamparazzi Retreat! Plenty of opportunities to creat with good friends!
